“We are very disappointed in Proton’s attitude towards its customer’s safety. We have bought the Proton Persona 1.6 AT model on 28 March 2010. However, on 9th Jan 2011, our car experienced some noise due to the Brake Wheel Cylinder on the left side. Then, in less than one month period, the noise re-appeared again. When we sent back to the workshop, it seems that the noise is due to the problems coming from both sides of the Brake Wheel Cylinder.

In addition, on 3rd April 2011, our car’s radiator suddenly busted without any reason, and also without our knowledge only until the car temperature shot up to the maximum. The worst case was that the car came to a halt whenever we brake at the roundabouts. Can you imagine how dangerous was that, so much so that we have children in the car. If the cars behind us were unable to stop in time, we would sure be knocked over. And only then, we realize that the radiator is totally dry and there was even a burning smell from the engine. When we checked with our Proton dealer, we were told that we were not the first one who experienced this incident.

“Kereta produa myvi yang baru saya beli telah dihantar untuk servis kali pertama di pusat perodua pada kira-kira jam 4.00 petang.

Proses servis mengambil masa 1 jam 30 minit. Selepas selesai servis, dalam perjalanan pulang, kereta saya mati enjin di depan lampu isyarat.

Dalam keadaan lalu lintas yang sibuk, kereta saya menghalang lalu lintas dan menyebabkan diri saya cemas.

Selepas 20 minit, dengan bantuan orang awam, didapati wayar pada bateri yang dibuka oleh mekanik di pusat servis perodua tidak dipasang balik dengan ketat menyebabkannya tertanggal dalam perjalanan.

I brought & collected new Chevrolet Cruze which more than 100k From Cxxxx SDN BHD on 3rd November 2010. I noticed the alignment is not right& pulling the car towards left even in straight road all the time.

When I reported 1st time after a week I collected the car, they try to do the alignment. But once I test –drive the problem not solve.

“I booked a car back in 2001 with a booking fee of RM3, 000. I book a Hyundai car model Elantra 1.8 on 27th August 2001 with a deposit of RM3, 000. The salesman took my booking. Just before the booking, I enquired with the salesman if I change my mind, will I be able to get my refund back and he said “Yes” and should not be an issue. So I went on to sign the booking form. Just a week later from the date of booking, I was struck with a financial difficulty. At this time, I decided to cancel my booking where I approached the same salesman and he said that he is unable to refund my deposit and it will stay with the company until I decide to purchase a car from Hyundai. At that time, I thought it would be fine so I left it with Hyundai.

After 2 years, I decided I may as well write to Hyundai to request for a refund as I did not have any intention to buy a Hyundai ca. On 27th August 2003, I wrote a letter to requesting for a refund. I came to know that the salesman was not working there anymore. I did also see the Manager and explain to him but he did not want to entertain me and kept on saying he could not do anything about it. So I left it as it is.

“I decided to book a Proton Inspira 2.0 on Nov 24th. Few days before that, I made enquiries in several Proton and EON outlet about the car's promotion. I was informed that if I had booked before 15th November, I am entitled to 2 years free service with parts included. However since I have passed that date, I am only entitled to 1 year service with parts if I book before 30th November. I booked with EON SP whereby my salesman said that PROTON's promotion should be the same anywhere. The best to confirm is the Customer Hotline. Therefore I called their service ICARE at 1800888398 to enquire about this promo. The staff there confirmed it and said that it has been reduced to 1 year for 2.0 model while the 1.8 model remains 2 years. Therefore, I proceeded to book on 24th November.
