Consumer complaints top 30,000 PDF Print E-mail

KUALA LUMPUR: The number of consumer complaints for the first nine months of this year has reached 30,000 cases with consumer losses of RM250mil so far.

Last year, a total of 34,381 complaints and consumer losses of RM244mil were recorded, said National Consumer Complaints Centre (NCCC) senior manager M. Matheevani.

She attributed this to higher awareness as well as more grievances recorded against industries where consumers suffered more losses.

“Last year, the communications and multimedia sector topped the list of complaints among consumers.

“But the trend is changing this year. The electricity and energy supply sector is expected to receive among the highest complaints, especially over faulty readings and alleged meter tampering incidents. It took 11th spot last year.

KUALA LUMPUR: Pusat Khidmat Aduan Pengguna Nasional (NCCC) menerima 34,381 aduan daripada pengguna mengenai pembelian barangan dan perkhidmatan yang membabitkan kerugian sebanyak RM250 juta pada tahun lepas.

Pengerusi Lembaga Pengarah NCCC Datuk N.Marimuthu berkata angka itu mencatatkan peningkatan sebanyak 6.2 peratus berbanding 32,369 aduan pada 2009 dengan kerugian RM150 juta.

"Ini jelas menunjukkan bahawa perhatian yang serius perlu diberikan untuk meningkatkan kualiti produk dan perkhidmatan kepada pengguna," katanya kepada pemberita selepas merasmikan Seminar dan Pelancaran Laporan Tahunan 2010 NCCC, di sini hari ini.

KUALA LUMPUR: The communications and multimedia sector received the highest number of complaints from consumers last year, according to the National Consumer Complaints Centre (NCCC).

NCCC chairman Datuk N. Marimuthu said out of 34,000 complaints lodged last year, 3,102 were made against the communications sector. "There are lots of telecommunication products nowadays, and the high number of complaints show that consumers are better aware of their rights.

"We receive more complaints every day and we try our best to engage with people from these sectors to resolve their problems." He said this when launching the 5th NCCC Annual Report 2010 here yesterday.

KUALA LUMPUR: The National Consumer Complaints Centre (NCCC) received 34,381 consumer complaints involving losses of about RM250 million last year.

Its chairman Datuk N Marimuthu said the figure was an increase of 6.2 per cent compared to 32,369 complaints in 2009, involving RM150 million in losses.

“This clearly shows that serious attention should be given in improving the quality of products and services to consumers,” he told reporters after opening a NCCC Seminar and launching its 2010 Annual Report here yesterday.

Dear sir / madam, I and my wife took a wedding photo package offer from bridal house on 25/02/2011 during in wedding fair at Mid Vally Mega Mall. I made a full payment on the spot. About a month later we went to the bridal shop to choose wedding gown and etc. after one or two week we visit the bridal shop again to try out those selected gowns which had been adjusted to our body sizes.

Then we had the photo shooting session on 26/04/2011. A week later we visit again to again to select photos to be printed on the wedding photo album. The bridal shop employee told to us that they will email us to finalize the final work.

On 24/05/2011 we received this email and we confirmed it with a reply. We waited again till end of June 2011, my wife called the bridal shop to ask about the photo album.

Saya telah difahamkan agent insuran kenderaan saya bahawa  kenderaan saya tidak dapat diperbaharui roadtax akibat ada saman yang tidak dijelaskan. Saya bekerja sebagai auditor yang tidak mempunyai masa untuk bergerak dalam waktu operasi kerajaan.

Saya mengambil keputusan untuk membayar saman PDRM melalui rilek.my yang mempunyai slogan RANGKAIAN INTERAKTIF LAMAN ELEKTRONIK KERAJAAN. Saya membayar saman saya melalui cimb klik sejumlah Rm 150.00 dan Rm 2.00 adalah caj perkhidmatan.

Setelah pembayaran saya disahkan melalui laman web rilik.com bahawa saya tiada lagi saman yang masih belum dijelaskan. Pada 11 July agent saya telah pergi untuk menyelesaikan isu roadtax tetapi gagal kerana masih ada lagi saman tertunggak.

SAYA TELAH DITIPU OLEH KUMPULAN CELCOM PDF Print E-mail

Selepas turun dari monorel, saya didatangi oleh sekumpulan pekerja Celcom. Mereka  telah memberi saya simcard Celcom (prepaid) dan mengatakan simcard itu diberi secara percuma kepada saya, malahan didalamnya terdapat RM50 jumlah kredit, sebelum itu saya dikehendaki memberi salinan kad pengenalan. Selepas pulang ke rumah, saya cuba untuk mengaktifkan simcard tersebut. Sebelum itu, saya terlebih dahulu menelefon ke Celcom careline untuk memastikan bahawa simcard tersebut adalah postpaid atau prepaid. Operator  itu memberitahu saya bahawa simcard itu adalah postpaid.

Selepas  mengetahui simcard itu adalah postpaid, saya terus tidak menggunakan simcard terbabit dan saya sedar saya telah ditipu oleh kumpulan celcom terbabit. Selepas sebulan, bil telah sampai ke rumah saya berjumlah RM74.00. Saya terus menelefon celcom careline untuk penjelasan lanjut kerana saya langsung tidak menggunakan nombor tersebut, malahan selepas tinjauan dibuat pihak celcom sendiri memberitahu saya bahawa tiada langsung call-out dibuat dari nombor itu. Jadi kenapa saya perlu membayar sejumlah RM74.00 sedangkan saya langsung tidak menggunakan nombor tersebut.  Setelah  tidak berpuas hati dan geram, saya mengarahkan pihak celcom untuk batal nombor terbabit. Selepas  sebulan,saya masih lagi menerima bil sebanyak RM40.15. Pihak  Celcom  juga menelefon dan menghantar SMS kepada saya supaya membayar semua bil terbabit dan jika saya enggan membayar tindakan akan diambil.

In May 2011, I received a call from Glow and Glamour G&G and they offered me a free body treatment. I accepted and made a visit to them on May 17 at 2pm in the Damansara Utama outlet. The consultant in charge then start selling me packages for facial session as I'm not interested in doing any slimming treatments. I purchased a 10 times facial package from G&G which cost RM1000. After I did the 1st facial treatment, I was not satisfied at all with the treatment given.

My sister and i had purchased a set of sofa from Elizza Furniture Sdn.Bhd which cost RM 2.8 K dated on 23 November 2008. According to their sales staff and branch manager, this is real leather set with 5 years warranthy and assured us on high quality.However unfortunately 2.5 years as of today (May 11,2011), 2 major quality issues were occured within this short period.

There are unstable sofa frame which gives cracking sound during sitting and big area of sofa surface leather starting to peel off by itself.During past 2 weeks from 15th – 31st May 2011, we went to the shop twice and they had sent their staff to our house to snap a photo of the sofa.

I went to one of Hypermarket for shopping & was approached by a nice sweet talking young girl promoting item from the above outlet. She told me that it was just for trial & no selling –just get a reflexology for my foot.

Upon being seated she did a demo on the foot massager & explained did a lot of explanation on how good & beneficial that item was. She also told me that upon purchase (RM 1690.00) I‘ll be given 2 items free.
