I WOULD like to congratulate the Malaysian Chinese Association for proposing that the government buy over the North-South Expressway and make it toll-free. Toll payments are a burden to the rakyat even though we have to admit that we get the benefit of a smoother and more efficient journey along the North-South Expressway.

 

I agree with the MCA and urge other concerned parties also to try to convince the government to buy over all the toll concession companies and make Malaysia completely toll-free. Toll payments along other highways, especially the urban ones like Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong, Kesas, New Klang Valley Expressway, New Pantai Expressway and the Smart Tunnel, are a burden to the rakyat.

I hope all concerned citizens will back the MCA and other like-minded groups so that toll payment is removed once and for all.
