I went to one of Hypermarket for shopping & was approached by a nice sweet talking young girl promoting item from the above outlet. She told me that it was just for trial & no selling –just get a reflexology for my foot.

Upon being seated she did a demo on the foot massager & explained did a lot of explanation on how good & beneficial that item was. She also told me that upon purchase (RM 1690.00) I‘ll be given 2 items free.

She also did a demo on the free items as well. Towards the end of all demonstration, 2 girls sweet talked me & did not give me any option to speak but just agree. I was not given a chance to think or consider purchasing. I told them I did not have enough cash & they told me I can put a deposit of Rm 100.00& settle the balance within a week & take the items. I went back the next day & told them I was not interested in the foot massager & want a refund.

I was told that refund cannot be done & that I should purchase any other items from that outlet and pay the balance outstanding amount from the Purchase.

NCCC action: NCCC took the case to attention of the company and authorities, eventually the company agreed to refund deposit of Rm 100.00
